Assortments contain threaded pipe in various lengths. The galvanized finish on this pipe provides fair corrosion resistance. Also known as Schedule 40, it is designed for low-pressure applications. Pipe is welded, so there is a weld bead on the inside.
Fully threaded pipe is also known as a close nipple; it is threaded on each end to the center.
What is NPT?
NPT is short of American National Standard Pipe Thread standards, which is used on threaded pipes and pipe fittings. They include both tapered and straight thread series for various purposes including rigidity, pressure-tight sealing, or both.
Connection of NPT Nipple Fitting
According to the shapes, we can divided into straight nipple (threaded nipple) and reducing nipple. Same as the steel pipe reducer, there are concentric swage nipple and eccentric swage nipple. All of them have some connecting methods as following:
